Capt. Shannon LaBauve has been licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard since 1995. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana into a fishing family. Three decades guiding the Galveston Bay complex, the jetties, the near-shore beach front, and the offshore rigs.

This was my family’s first fishing charter and it was absolutely awesome. Captain Shannon was welcoming, personable, patient, and excellent with instructions, which led to catch after catch for our entire group.
Five minutes after we stopped at the jetty we started catching fish every two or three minutes. Never went ten minutes without catching fish. We brought 17 keepers back to the dock. We will definitely use Galveston Offshore again.
He knew where to go and kept us on fish the whole trip. When the bite slowed, he moved us and it paid off. Gear was solid the whole time. We landed some good fish and had fun doing it. I’d go back out with him again for sure.

Shannon was great with our seven-year-old. He got fish on the line and knew the hot spots. He cleaned our fish, speckled trout and black drum, and had them cooked down the road. We will go back for flounder in December.
The trip was way more than I thought it could be. He kept moving us around and we kept catching fish. Fifteen fish in all, then the captain cleaned them and told us where to get them cooked. I’m ready to do it again.
Captain was great and had us on fish at every spot. We caught four sharks before ending the trip a little early because my son got seasick. Even with the shortened trip we had a great time, and my boys are already ready for another.
